Sabriyya Harvey

Sabriyya is a Bermudian artist whose creative practice surrounds collective identity and its affect on culture-keeping and tradition in diverse examples of “community”.
This year Sabriyya has been exploring the influence of spectator culture in Bermuda and the Caribbean, specifically the phenomena of cricket.
Her practice manifests through painting, drawing and sculpture. And her overall work surround’s themes of historical origin; the formation of traditions; and more importantly, storytelling.
In future Sabriyya aims to continue exploring material and cultural practices that inform her identity. Her goal is to gain a sense of personal understanding through process while creating exciting aesthetic images.
