E. Grace McCrea

Grace is from Halifax, NS and had spent the last four years focusing on Printmaking and Photography.

She has been interested in the anatomy of the human body, and her work often revolves around reflections and the abnormalities of her own body, she had also been exploring the body’s relation to the natural world and is fascinated by the concept of the “ideal” and what that encompasses. 

 

This year, her work has mainly been focused on her own personal medical experiences and exploring the associated anxieties and emotions. Most recently, Grace has comprised a series of polaroid photographs into a bookwork, which includes medical scans of her own body.
